I didn't know what type of running shoes to wear, how to increase mileage properly, or even how to pace myself. All of my previous endurance experience came from competing as a cyclist, and I soon realized that running was a very different discipline. I want to help you avoid the same mistake I made when I was starting out.

I've worked with athletes locally and in person for many years. Although in person coaching can be very beneficial for my clients, it also can be very expensive ($100 to $180 per session), it creates time restrictions for both my clients and myself, and it only allowed me to work with a handful of clients at a time.
Online coaching has many more benefits for the athletes I coach and myself. It allows me to work with clients from all over the world and to provide them with quality training plans, education, motivation, healthy eating habits, injury prevention, and recovery.
Not to mention, starting at $50 a week, it's a fraction of the price of on location training and coaching.

Cycling was my first love in endurance sports. As a former certified USA Cycling coach with decades of experience in racing and long distance cycling, I want to help you reach your goals. I specialize in helping clients train for long distance charity rides and/or tackling their first 100 mile ride.

You can upload your completed workouts directly to Final Surge or simply link your Garmin or Strava accounts for automatic uploads. On Final Surge we can both comment on your workouts, you can add how you felt during your workouts, any injuries, fatigue, questions, accomplishments, and more. Your customized training plans will be uploaded weekly which allows me to make any adjustments needed to accommodate your lifestyle, fitness level, work, travel, and family commitments.

Ready for a Runcation? I offer a five day training camp in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. The White Mountain National Forest is a lure to trail runners, hikers, and backpackers from all over the world. As most Appalachian Trail thru-hikers will tell you, it is one of the most scenic areas of wilderness on the east coast. We'll venture out for some long hikes, trail running above the clouds, and cool dips in crystal clear rivers, as well as your chance to run the course the US Mountain Running National Championship.
The Mount Washington Valley has a few local eateries that offer plant-based options. You are welcome to join me for a warm meal and a cold beer after a hard day of training or explore the area on your own.
Join me for a five day trail running camp in beautiful Arizona. Phoenix has some of the best trail running and vegan restaurants in the United States. We will have daily running, yoga, strength, and recovery training. You are welcome to join me for a meal or two each day at a local vegan or vegetarian restaurant.
With mountains just a few miles from the center of Phoenix you'll get to enjoy breathtaking views of the downtown skyline from the summit of Camelback Mountain and South Mountain. South Mountain is located on the largest city owned park in the United States. We'll also travel out the east valley for a run in the incredible Superstitions and a visit to Canyon Lake.
For those looking to escape the city for a few hours, there will also be the option to head out to the west valley for an evening soak in one of the few hot springs Arizona has to offer.
The back roads of northern Vermont offer some of the most picturesque views and least amount of vehicles you'll find anywhere. We'll make several stops along the way to take advantage of the beautiful lakes for swimming, photo opportunities, snacks, and clean air Vermont has to offer. Finding vegan restaurants in such a rural can be a challenge. When eating out is not an option, pre-made meals will be provided on longer rides.

This premier tour through the White Mountains will include the famous Kancamagus Scenic Byway, Franconia Notch, Crawford Notch, Pinkham Notch, and the steepest public road in New Hampshire. We'll make several stops for cold river soaks, photo opportunities, snacks, swimming holes. There are some great vegan options available at local restaurants in North Conway as well as an all vegan bakery.

This tour will take you through three of the New England states. We'll start in the northeastern corner of Massachusetts and travel along the seacoast of southern New Hampshire with a stop in the town of Portsmouth. Next we'll head north into Maine while traveling inland along the Piscataqua River and on to the quaint town of Ogunquit. From there, we will ride to the summit of Mount Agamenticus, which provides scenic views of the Maine coast, and even Mount Washington in northern New Hampshire on a clear day. The ride will continue on to York Beach with a stop at the famous Nubble Light House. Our return trip down along the coast will pass by a historic fort from the revolutionary war, a delicious vegan friendly Mexican restaurant, and the once again the historic town of Portsmouth New Hampshire.

The Berkshires are home to beautiful rolling hills, winding rivers, the highest peak in Massachusetts (Mount Greylock), the Mohawk Trail, the Natural Bridge State Park, the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art, and much more. Our base camp for this tour will be in the quaint town of North Adams. We'll travel through several small towns, as well the beautiful areas along the border of New York state and southern Vermont .
